Air Conditioning is VERY important in Florida. When the summer heat comes, you want your system to work and work efficiently. That is where Air Duct Cleaning comes in.

When mold grows in your air ducts, it gets constantly circulated through your home every time you run your air conditioner. This can cause illness and a decrease in your indoor air quality. As a locally owned company in the Orlando Area, we know all about these issues and are fully equipped to deal with them.

Your team at Sears Air Duct Cleaning is certified by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) and we also offer Indoor Air Quality products to remove odors and prevent mold.

Things to Know About Air Duct Vent Cleaning in Central and Eastern Coastal Florida

Concealed behind your walls and mostly ignored, your air ducts serve as vital pathways that deliver warm and cool air throughout your home during the year. While they may be unseen, your air ducts are working nearly year round, whenever you have your air conditioner or furnace running. Attached to your HVAC system, air ducts transfer the air from these systems throughout your home. What many homeowners don't realize, though, is that your air ducts, in nearly constant use, continually accumulate dust, grime, debris, pet dander and allergens throughout the year.

Simply living in your home creates dust and dirt.  Have you ever seen dust floating in the air in your home when the sun shines in?  That dust, dirt, pet dander and those allergens get pulled into the air handling system in your home. It builds up in the ductwork, some of it get recirculated back into your home and some of it is captured by the air filter if the one you use is of a good quality. Eventually enough builds up to the point where more of it blows back into your home.  Your furnace or air conditioner must run longer to cool or heat your home which costs you more in utility bills and your vents will start to show signs of build up.  With a service call from Sears Air Duct Cleaning you can feel comfortable in knowing that that accumulation of Dust, Dirt, dander and allergens has been cleaned from your HVAC duct system.

Air Duct Cleaning & HVAC System Efficiency

Your HVAC unit and air ducts deliver heated or cooled air throughout your home year-in and year-out. The air your HVAC unit produces travels through your air ducts and heats or cools your home through the air vents in each room. The EPA defines the dust and other particles in your home’s air as particulate matter, "a complex mixture of extremely small particles and liquid droplets." The EPA also notes that, "Particle pollution is made up of a number of components, including acids (such as nitrates and sulfates), organic chemicals, metals, and soil or dust particle."  If you remove your furnace filter and hold it up to the light, you can probably see several hundred of these minuscule particles floating in the air.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 25 to 40 percent of the energy used for heating or cooling a home is wasted. Contaminants in the heating and cooling system cause it to work harder and shorten the life of your system and raise your energy bills. While using a filter helps, your heating and cooling systems still get dirty from normal use.
